Q: How much time should I allow for each Brazilian Keratin straightening ?
A: Time is determined on an individual basis, depending on hair length, type and texture. Please allow approximately 2 to 3 hours for shoulder length and long hair.

A: Yes! A great time to have the treatment done is directly after coloring or chemically treating the hair. Color is sealed in, extending the life of the color and leaving the hair vibrant. If choosing to color hair after the treatment, you must wait two weeks.

Q: Can the Brazilian Keratin Hair straightening be done on chemically treated hair?
A: Yes. For blonds, highlighted and damaged hair, we recommend that the flat iron be set at 430°. For all other hair types, it should be set at 450°.

Q: How many days after the Brazilian Keratin Hair straightening before the hair can get wet or be washed?
A: You must wait 72 hours before washing your hair or swimming.

Q: Can the hair be pulled back or clipped up during the 72-hour waiting period?
A: No. Bands and clips make impressions in the hair and should be avoided during the 72-hour waiting period.

Q: What should be done if the hair gets wet during the 72-hour waiting period?
A: Blow the hair dry and flat iron.

Q: What kind of shampoo and conditioner should be used?
A: A sulfate-free Shampoo and Conditioner. The wrong ingredients in your shampoo & conditioner can UNDO your treatment.  Be sure to use a shampoo that does not contain sodium-chloride.(sulfate)

Q: How often can the Brazilian Keratin Hair straightening  be done?
A: The Brazilian Keratin Hair treatment can be performed once every 4-6 weeks.

Q: Is the re-application of the Brazilian Keratin Hair treatment  done on the entire head or only on the new growth?
A: The keratin will wash out evenly ,re-application should be done on the entire head as the build-up of keratin will only improve, not harm, the hair.

Q: How long will the Brazilian Keratin Hair straightening  last?
A: Brazilian Keratin treatment  can last up to 6 months, depending on hair type and texture and provided the client follows all after care instructions.

Q: Should the hair be cut before or after the treatment?
A: We recommend that the hair be cut after the treatment, as hair will have a smoother texture and will lay differently.

Q: Can the Brazilian Keratin  treatment  be done on pregnant or nursing women?
A: No; it is not recommended.

A: Yes. With great results!

A: For damaged hair purchase any sulfate-free shampoo, do it yourself conditioners, starting at $25.00  to $65.00 for a 5.1oz "miracle in a jar" that lasts up to 6 to 12 weeks depending on hair length. We won't be able to tell you which conditioner is best for your hair until you come in for a "look see" evaluation.

Q: How can you keep the fresh haircut look at home?

A: Here are some easy tips to achieve that “just walked out of the salon” look.

Step 1

After shampooing, dry your hair 40% before applying any products.

Step 2

Using a comb, flat brush or your fingers, continue drying your hair with your head upside down while uplifting the roots. This technique adds sassiness and volume to the hair. Those with frizzy hair, however, should skip this step.

Step 3

Roll the ends of your hair with rollers or a brush till hair cools.

Step 4

Flip your head upside down ,spray and shake hair well with your hands and...voila!
